Full-time Web Application Developer Position

We, OIR Interactive (the developers of TextBoard) are currently seeking a full-time, on-site Web Application Programmer/Developer with a minimum of 2 years experience in programming and developing websites and web applications.

Qualifications:

Proven skills and experience with the following are required:

  • HTML (XHTML)
  • CSS
  • PHP
  • SQL (MySQL)
  • XML
  • JavaScript  (jQuery please!)
  • AJAX
  • Unix/Linux server management/administration

Familiarity with Flash, Flex, web services, Object Oriented Programming and source control (subversion), and design patterns is a bonus.

Job Duties

Duties would primarily consist of developing and maintaining websites, web applications, and other various web-related systems and content. Applicants must provide an example/portfolio of work with each of the above mentioned skill sets.

Application Developer

Join our team in designing and developing our powerful text message marketing application as well as the systems we use to maintain our business. You’ll quickly learn about the mobile marketing industry, our customers and how to support them, and more importantly, how to service their requests.

We need you to have:

  • 2 years experience building online applications
  • 1-2 years experience with object-oriented development
  • Solid, 3+ years experience with PHP, MySQL, jQuery and semantically correct XHTML/CSS
  • Better than the average geek communication skills- you will be talking directly with customers
  • An insane attention to details
  • An ability to see projects through to completion with minimal instruction or hand-holding

High-fives if you have:

  • A little iPhone, Android or Blackberry app development experience
  • API development skills
  • Experience with streamlining and optimizing existing code
  • LAMP server administration know-how

Support Specialist

Respond to customer email inquiries, maintain the TextBoard Twitter & Facebook feeds, and quickly facilitate incoming support calls. All this with a down to earth enthusiasm and motivated tone.

We need you to have:

  • Direct customer support experience
  • Perfect written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort with the Interwebs
  • An ability to brainstorm and come up with creative ideas

No telecommuting, all positions at TextBoard require candidates to work out of our office in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
